Should we “allow” a “mosque” at “Ground Zero”
If today we bow to public pressure to stop one group from building a mosque, what’s to stop somebody tomorrow from using public sentiment to stop a Progressive or Humanist or Science organization from building something. We can not infringe on the rights of one group today, because that same justification can all too easily be used tomorrow against us. Why I support Fred Phelps
If we create laws today to limit his right to free speech, what is to stop somebody tomorrow from creating laws to limit your or my right to express ourselves? I would never want to unwittingly create a situation where we are no longer free to criticize the government or religion or pseudoscience or frauds or whatever we choose…
